It consists of an upstand and a domed cover made of acrylic glass or polycarbonate. Rooflights bring daylight into halls, corridors and stairwells and can be opened for ventilation.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is a rooflight opened?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dome is hinged on one side and pushed upwards by an actuator. Because the dome lies horizontally, the actuator has to lift its full weight and, with snow, the snow load as well.
