It is often bottom-hung and tilts inwards. Because it sits high up, it is hard to reach by hand \u2013 a typical case for an electric actuator.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is a transom window opened?<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Mechanically, with a crank or rod (transom opener)<\/li><li>Electrically, with a flat chain actuator on the sash<\/li><li>For wide transom windows with two synchronised actuators<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which actuator fits?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For most transom windows, a <a href=\"\/en\/product\/vs-ka\/\">VS-KA chain actuator<\/a> with 250 N. Wider than about 1.2 m: two <a href=\"\/en\/product\/vs-ka-i\/\">VS-KA-i<\/a> in sync, or the <a href=\"\/en\/product\/vs-dka-800\/\">VS-DKA 800<\/a>.
