It is often found in fa\u00e7ades, glass roofs and conservatories. Because it opens outwards, it protects well against rain when the window is slightly open.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top-hung or bottom-hung sash?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a bottom-hung sash the hinge is at the bottom and the sash tilts inwards. On a top-hung sash it is at the top and the sash opens outwards.
