It is given in <strong>newtons (N)<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why does holding force matter?<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tightness:<\/strong> the sash must sit firmly in the seal, otherwise there will be draughts<\/li><li><strong>Wind suction:<\/strong> on high-rise fa\u00e7ades and roofs the wind pulls at the sash<\/li><li><strong>Burglary protection:<\/strong> a high holding force makes levering open more difficult<\/li><li><strong>Large sashes:<\/strong> long sashes are often held by two actuators or an additional locking actuator<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Holding force and pulling force<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pulling force describes how strongly the actuator pulls the sash closed. The holding force applies to the closed state. Both values are in the actuator data sheet, if the manufacturer specifies them.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the holding force of a chain actuator sufficient?<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For normal tilt and top-hung windows usually yes. For very large sashes, high wind loads or increased burglary protection requirements, an additional locking actuator makes sense.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can I find the value?<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the actuator data sheet.
