A narrow ventilation gap is created all round. This design is often seen on modern glass fa\u00e7ades.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Actuators for parallel opening windows<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>usually several actuators per sash, mostly at the corners<\/li><li>all actuators must run exactly in sync \u2013 this requires a synchronous control<\/li><li>the weight of the sash is carried entirely by actuators and hardware<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advantages and limits<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parallel opening windows ventilate evenly and look elegant from outside. The technology is more complex than for a tilt or top-hung window and should be planned by the fa\u00e7ade builder.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can parallel opening windows be retrofitted?<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only if the hardware and window construction are designed for it.
