It reports a fire to the SHEV control panel, which then controls the window actuators.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>automatic:<\/strong> smoke or heat detectors<\/li><li><strong>manual:<\/strong> SHEV push button (usually orange) in the stairwell or at exits<\/li><li><strong>external:<\/strong> signal from a fire alarm system<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Difference from ventilation<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ventilation switches for daily ventilation are not trigger devices of an SHEV system.
