Mingardi from Italy builds compact chain actuators for window ventilation, best known are the Micro 02, Micro+ and Micro EVO models. The values for the Micro 02 and the Micro+ come from dealer data sheets, where the stroke details partly differ. So check the stroke on the existing actuator or measure the opening width of the sash.
What to consider when replacing a drive
- Stroke: Choose the same stroke as the old actuator so that the sash does not open further than before. Calculate chain length
- Installation space and brackets: Compare the length and depth of the new actuator with the space on the frame. The old brackets usually do not fit, a bracket set is included in the price of the VS-KA.
- Voltage: 230 V actuators run directly on the switch, 24 V actuators need a control unit or power supply. 24 V or 230 V?
- Wide wings: Mingardi specifies up to about 1,300 mm sash width for one actuator. Wider sashes need two actuators, ideally the VS-KA-i with synchronisation function.
- Connection: The actuator must be connected by a qualified electrician.
