The VS-C24-7A controller converts 230 V AC into 24 V DC and supplies power to electric window drives, Venetian blinds, roller shutters, garage door openers, etc. Accessories such as wind or rain sensors can also be connected. The connected drive opens and closes by reversing the polarity at the input. Control is via a button on the unit or a radio remote control. The VS-C24-7A is suitable for operating all electrical 24V window drives from Vent Systems, for example the chain drives of the series VS-KA or the linear actuators of the series VS LA.

Requirements for qualification of personnel

All installation, wiring, commissioning and maintenance work on window drives may only be carried out by trained and qualified personnel. Untrained personnel are strictly prohibited from accessing any areas where this work is being carried out

Pre-installation and device selection

- Switch on the controller to check it for any transit damage

- Before commissioning, make sure that the drive used for a voltage of 24 V

is designed.

- Also make sure that the total current does not exceed 7 A, to ensure safe operation.

Requirements for electrical safety

- The power supply to the controller must guarantee an operating voltage of 230V AC. Voltage fluctuations outside this range may cause the device to malfunction or damage the control board

- Use adequately sized cables in accordance with the technical standard to minimize voltage drop.

- Before cleaning, maintenance or troubleshooting work, always disconnect the main power supply

Safety precautions for installation

- Check for absence of voltage: Never work on live parts. Before starting installation, the power supply must be disconnected on all poles. Check with a suitable measuring device (e.g. a multimeter or a two-pole voltage tester) whether the lines are actually voltage-free

- Wet hands/environment: never perform electrical work with wet hands or on a wet surface.

Maintenance and cleaning

- All maintenance work must be carried out only when the device is fully switched off.

- A routine inspection of the power cable should be carried out at least once a year. If any abnormalities are detected, use must be stopped immediately. Repairs may only be carried out by certified technicians using original parts. Unauthorized disassembly is strictly prohibited

- Use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust or dirt from the surface. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents
