What to clarify before ordering
- Dimensions and weight: Sash width, sash height and weight determine the force required. Calculate thrust
- Opening type and stroke: Bottom-hung, top-hung, roof window or rooflight and the desired opening width. Calculate chain length
- Voltage: 24 V for control units and smoke ventilation, 230 V for simple ventilation directly at the switch. 24 V or 230 V?
- Installation situation: Space on the frame, mounting position of the actuator and fixing to the profile. Mounting position

Mounting on the profile
The actuator is usually mounted on the frame, and the chain or push rod acts on the sash via a bracket. Before installation, check that the brackets fit the profile and that there is enough space for the actuator and cable. On bottom-hung windows, a safety stay limits the opening. On windows within reach of people, the closing edges must be considered.

Smoke ventilation projects
In smoke and heat exhaust systems, the actuator, the window and an approved SHEV control panel must be matched for each project. The SHEV control panel comes from the system installer. We supply the actuators and all technical data needed for coordination.
