The logbook is the record of operation, maintenance and inspections of a smoke and heat exhaust system. The operator or the commissioned specialist company enters every maintenance, fault and repair in it with the date.
What is in the logbook?
- system data and location of components
- dates and results of maintenance and inspections
- faults, defects and how they were fixed
- replacement of components such as batteries or actuators
The VdS/CEA 4020 guideline requires the annual inspection to be documented in a logbook.
