A bottom-hung sash is hinged at the bottom. It opens inwards at the top. It is often part of a tilt-and-turn window or sits as a transom above a door.
Which actuator suits a bottom-hung sash?
Usually a chain actuator on the top frame. Sash weight, required opening width and a safety stay are important.
- Opening width usually 100–300 mm
- Safety stay against the sash falling
- Example: VS-KA chain actuator
