What to consider when replacing a drive
- Installation space: The Slimchain is particularly flat. Measure the space on the window frame before you order.
- Voltage: 24 V drives run on a ventilation or SHEV control unit, 230 V drives directly on a switch. Use the same voltage as before.
- Stroke: The stroke determines the opening width. Choose the same or a smaller stroke than the old drive so the sash is not overloaded.
- Force reserve: With 400 N instead of 300 N pulling force, the VS-KA has more reserve, for example against seal pressure and wind.
Important for SHEV: If the window is part of a tested natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilator (NSHEV), the drive may only be replaced by a type named in the test or declaration of performance of the NSHEV. If in doubt, ask your SHEV specialist or us.
