Which drive fits?
- Standard case (600 N, stroke up to 1200 mm): VS-KA-i smart chain drive with 600 or 800 N. Several drives run synchronously.
- Very heavy sashes: VS-KA 2500 with 2500 N and up to 1000 mm stroke.
What to consider when replacing a drive
- Number of drives: If two or more Powerchains run synchronously on one sash, replace them all together – not just one.
- Control: The drives need a 24 V control unit or SHEV control panel with sufficient current. Check the capacity of the existing control panel.
- Stroke and force: Do not choose a longer stroke than before and allow for a force reserve.
- Consoles: Measure the fixing points on the frame and sash beforehand.
Important for SHEV: If the window is part of a tested natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilator (NSHEV), the drive may only be replaced by a type named in the test or declaration of performance of the NSHEV. If in doubt, ask your SHEV specialist or us.
