Electric window actuators run either on 24 V DC or directly on 230 V AC. Both open and close the window equally well – the difference lies in installation, control and safety.
When 24 V, when 230 V?
24 V makes sense when several actuators are controlled together or wind and rain sensors are integrated. 230 V is practical for single windows where a mains connection is already available.
- 24 V: a control with power supply is needed, e.g. VS-C24-7A
- 230 V: direct operation with a ventilation switch, e.g. VS-LT 230
- Work on 230 V only by a qualified electrician
