A 24 V power supply converts the mains voltage of 230 V AC into 24 V DC. 24 V window actuators need this extra-low voltage. It is considered particularly safe and is the standard for electric window actuators.
How big does the power supply need to be?
Add up the current draw of all actuators that run at the same time and plan about 20 % reserve. Example: three actuators at 1.5 A each need 4.5 A, with reserve around 5.4 A.
Power supply or control unit?
A pure power supply only provides current. The control unit VS-C24-7A converts 230 V into 24 V (max. 7 A) and also drives the actuators open and closed, via switch, optionally via radio, and with connections for wind and rain sensors. It is intended for comfort ventilation.
- Choose the cable cross-section according to cable length and current
- Mount the power supply with good ventilation
- Electrical connection by a qualified electrician only
