With a pivot sash, the pivot axis is roughly in the middle of the sash. One part swings inwards, the other outwards. The sash weight is partly balanced.
What to consider when motorising?
The actuator is mounted as far as possible from the pivot axis. On wide sashes, two synchronised actuators help.
- Check the force needed with the thrust calculator
- Consider wind and rain on parts opening outwards
- Synchronised operation e.g. with VS-KA-i
