A sawtooth roof consists of several roof surfaces in a row with a saw-tooth profile. The steep sides are glazed and usually face north so that glare-free light enters the hall.
Motorising windows in a sawtooth roof
The windows are often hard to reach. Chain or rack-and-pinion actuators open them via a switch or automatically via the ventilation control.
