A side-bend chain is a drive chain that can only bend to one side. In the pushing direction it stays rigid and can push the window sash open. Inside the housing it is stored in a compact coil.
What is a side-bend chain used for?
It is used in chain actuators that need large opening widths or opening angles up to 90°, for example on roof windows, top-hung sashes and rooflights.
- High thrust despite a slim housing
- Large opening angles possible
- Example: VS-SB 400 and VS-SB 400/90 for a 90° opening
