Depending on the system, you also need a control unit, a push button or sensors, and installation by a qualified electrician. What determines the price of the actuator
- Force: The heavier the sash, the more push and pull force the actuator needs. How to determine it is shown in the guide Calculate thrust.
- Stroke: A longer stroke opens the window further and costs a little more, see Calculate chain length.
- Voltage: 230 V actuators work without a control unit. 24 V actuators need a control unit but are easy to combine, see 24 V or 230 V.
- Features: Actuators with synchronous operation for large sashes with two actuators and with bus connection cost more than simple actuators.

What installation costs
The electrical connection is carried out by a qualified electrician. The company usually charges by the hour. The costs mainly depend on:
- whether a cable is already in place at the window or needs to be laid,
- how high the window is and whether a ladder is enough or scaffolding or a lifting platform is needed,
- how many windows are fitted at the same time,
- whether the standard brackets fit or need to be adapted, see Installation situation.

Repair or replace?
For a defective actuator, replacement is usually the more economical solution: labour and spare parts for a repair often cost more than a new actuator. It is important that the new actuator matches in force, stroke, voltage and mounting. Costs for SHEV systems
Windows that extract smoke in the event of fire are part of a smoke and heat exhaust ventilation system. Actuator, window and SHEV control panel are then coordinated and certified for the specific project. The costs therefore cannot be stated as a flat rate. Are the brackets included in the price?
The chain, linear and rack-and-pinion actuators VS-KA, VS-LA and VS-ZA include a standard bracket set. Special brackets are available for special profiles.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping within Germany costs from €3.50 net. We ship stock items within 24 hours.
Is there a discount for bank transfer?
Yes, for payment in advance (bank transfer) we grant a 1% discount.
Is an inexpensive 230 V actuator worthwhile?
For a single window with a push button, yes: it is the simplest and cheapest solution. If several windows are to move together or close when it rains, a 24 V system with a control unit is usually the better choice.
