A Synchronous control ensures that two or more window actuators on one sash run at exactly the same speed and the same distance. Without synchronisation one actuator can run ahead. The sash then jams, and the fittings and actuators are loaded unevenly.
When do I need two synchronous actuators?
For wide sashes, usually from about 1.2 m width, and for heavy sashes that a single actuator cannot move safely. The actuators are then fitted on the left and right of the sash and share the load.
How does synchronisation work?
The actuators exchange their position via a data line and continuously match their speed. The smart actuators from Vent Systems have the synchronisation function built in; a separate synchronisation box is not required.
Which actuators can run synchronously?
For example the VS-KA-i chain actuator, the VS-SB 400-i, the VS-LA-i linear actuator and the VS-ZA-i rack and pinion actuator. For wide sashes you can also use the double chain actuator VS-DKA 800.
